NEW Ohio Ordnance Works M240 SLR
April 18, 2011
There are those of us that have dreamed of owning our very own FNH M240, but have never had the opportunity of ownership let alone having the pleasure of firing its belt felt magic. Ohio Ordnance Works has released a civilian legal semi automatic copy of the famous FNH machine gun. The M240-SLR (Self Loading Rifle) does carry the same dimensions of its military cousin and can take advantage of any M240 mounting platform out there. Although the appearance and dimensions are the same, the internals are not and the bolt and trigger groups are not compatible. Also, another difference is that the Ohio Ordnance model fires from a closed bolt. Although, this may be disappointing for some, the rifle is still 100% reliable in rapid fire testing according to the manufacturer. Although the gun weighs in at a hefty 24.2 pounds, the real heft is the MSRP of $13,500.
